By Jo & Erik Tandberg | Vedazon

You’ve booked your first session. Perhaps you’re a little curious, a little unsure what to expect — that’s completely natural. A Vedazon session pairs a calm, reclined experience of gentle light and sound with the Ayurvedic understanding of your constitution, and for many people it’s unlike anything they’ve tried before. So we wanted to offer a gentle guide to what often comes after: the hours and days of integration, where much of the value of this work quietly unfolds.

A quick, honest note before we begin: everyone’s experience is different. What follows describes what people commonly notice — not what you should feel, and certainly not a promise. Your experience is yours, and all of it is welcome.

The Hours Right After

In the first hour or two after a session, many people describe feeling relaxed and a little dreamy — the way you might feel stepping out of a long, warm bath or waking gently from an afternoon rest. Others feel clear and quietly energized. Some feel a mix of both, or simply tired in a pleasant, “I’ve truly rested” sort of way.

A few simple things tend to make this window feel kinder:

In the Days That Follow

Integration is really just a word for letting an experience settle in. The session is the seed; the days afterward are where it takes root. People notice all sorts of things in this window — and again, the range is wide and entirely normal:

And sometimes? Not much at all, at least at first. That’s common too, and it doesn’t mean nothing happened. This work often reveals itself gradually, and the people who get the most from it tend to be the ones who give it a little room rather than grading the experience.

Simple Ways to Support Integration

You don’t need to do anything for integration to happen — but a few gentle practices can help you stay in relationship with what you noticed:

A note on what this is, and isn’t. Vedazon sessions are a wellness practice — a way to rest deeply and reconnect with your own sense of balance. They are not a medical or mental-health treatment, and we don’t diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If something difficult comes up for you, or you have questions about whether this work is right for your situation, please reach out to us or to a qualified healthcare provider. Why It Often Takes a Few Sessions

A single session can be lovely on its own. But this work tends to be cumulative — a bit like a yoga or meditation practice, where the first class is an introduction and the real depth comes with return. Many people find that with a series of sessions, the settling comes more easily and the experience deepens.

This is also where your constitution comes in. The reason we begin with an Ayurvedic understanding of your nature is that it shapes what’s likely to feel most supportive — a more grounding, calming experience for some; a more uplifting, clarifying one for others. After your first session, Jo can help you read your own response and shape where to go next. That conversation is part of the practice, not an add-on.

A Warm Welcome to the Work

However your first session lands — profound, subtle, restful, or simply intriguing — you’ve done the most important thing, which is to show up and give yourself the time. Integration isn’t a test to pass; it’s an invitation to stay gently curious about what you notice in the days that follow.

If questions come up, we’d love to hear them. And when you’re ready, we’ll help you find the next step that suits you.
